about delphinium ink | plaster
Delphinium is often identified with the common name Larkspur, Ridderspoor in dutch, which is part of both the annual Consolida and the perennial Delphiunium families. The name is linked figuratively to the shape of the flower - with a bulging elongated lobe in the back close to where it attaches to its stem. They are a tall decorative garden plant with colours ranging from bright blues to purples and lilacs. The biochromes they produce range between shades of blue and sour greens.
