Yarrow has a rich history as one of the oldest plants used medicinally, with reports of its use dating back 3,000 years. Yarrow seems to be named after the Greek hero Achilles according to some sources. Its about a meter tall, flowering in white, yellow or even pink.
It is thought to act as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant when applied to the skin, traditional medicine points at the use of leaves of yarrow for antiseptic, styptic, and antimicrobial properties.
